And people says that the image of Banke Bihariji installed in Shri Bank Bihari Mandir was presented to Swami Haridas by Lord Krishna and the Radhajis themselves. Swami Haridas originally worshiped this religious image under the name of Kunj-Bihari (“one who enjoys the forests (Kunj) of the city of Vrindavan”).

  • From February to April and August to December is the best time to visit in Banke Bihari Temple. Because in these months Holi and Janmashtami two big festivals of Lord Krishna are celebrated here. People from all over the world come here to celebrate these festivals.

  • By Air – If you are going by air then you have to arrive at Agra Airport. From airport the temple is 67 km. far.
  • By Train – If you are going by train you have to arrive at Mathura Railway Station. From station it is 6 km. far. You can easily opt bus, cab or auto for the mandir.
  • By RoadShri Banke Bihari Mandir is well connected by road and located 7 km away from National Highway 2.
